Bringing comfort and hope to children in crisis through the simple gift of a handmade bear.
What We Do
Project Buddy Bears of NC Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making handmade teddy bears for children in stressful and traumatic situations. Our bears are distributed through first responder and child services organizations across the Triad NC area.
Our volunteers gather weekly to sew and stuff bears, creating each one with care and love. These bears become companions for children during some of the most difficult moments of their young lives.
Whether a child is being removed from their home, involved in an accident, or experiencing any traumatic event, our bears provide a source of comfort and security when they need it most.
How It Works
Volunteers Sew & Stuff
Our team meets weekly to handcraft each bear with quality materials and loving care.
Bears Are Distributed
Completed bears are delivered to our partner organizations across the Triad NC area.
Children Receive Comfort
First responders and child services workers give bears to children during moments of crisis.
